There was insufficient demand for a by-election to fill the vacant position on Poringland Parish Council. As a result the parish council is free to co-opt a new member. Expressions of interest in writing to the parish clerk by 18th September, noting what skills you can bring to the parish council. Applicants will be invited to attend the parish council meeting on 25th September to give a short presentation on their reasons for wanting to join the team. The successful applicant will be co-opted and will be asked to join the remainder of the meeting. Don't hesitate to get in touch with any queries.
A vacancy on the Parish Council has occurred as a result of the resignation of James Landshoft. Requests for an election should be sent to South Norfolk Council by 18th July

The Norfolk Local Access Forum is comprised of up to 22 people covering a range of interests in countryside access in Norfolk, including walking; cycling; horse riding; landowners; conservation; other interests (including health, tourism, business, access for all, heritage, education). The Forum provides independent advice to a number of organisations including Norfolk County Council on improving access to land in Norfolk.
We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive people with a passion for the outdoors with good communication skills to fill 5 vacancies on the Forum. In particular, we are keen to find new members from the following interest areas: landowners and managers, younger people (or those who can represent young people), equestrians and local business/tourism.
