On Friday 24th July 2015 Poringland Parish Council was pleased to hear that they had been awarded the Local Council Award Scheme 'Foundation' Award. The Local Council Award Scheme is administered by the National Association of Local Councils and provides a benchmark for town and parish councils in determining performance. The Foundation award is the entry level status, demonstrating that the Council is undertaking all its statutory obligations. The Award provides evidence to other authorities and local organisations that the Council is performing well, and enables partnerships to be formed with confidence.
Poringland Parish Council will now work towards the next level, 'Quality', and will make an application for this status when it becomes qualified to do so.
