Work will begin on Monday 15 June to carry out carriageway resurfacing and upgrade the traffic signals on the A146 Loddon Road, Trowse Bypass at the junction with B1332 Bungay Road. All works will be carried out overnight 7.00 pm to 6.00 am and are due to complete by 17 July.
The traffic signal upgrade works will be carried out using temporary traffic signals and localised lane closures as necessary. Resurfacing works will commence on Monday 29 June and last for six nights using 3 way temporary signals with an overnight road closure on Kirby Road. A fully signed local diversion via Trumpery Lane (one way north bound only), Kirby Road and Sallow Lane (one way south bound only) will be in place each night. Following completion of the surfacing new traffic signal detector loops will be installed under lane closures and the new signals commissioned
Access to businesses and properties will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time but it is inevitable that there will be some disruption. The County Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
The work which will cost £170,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community & Environmental Services Department and their contractors.
