Poringland Parish Council's Committees, Sub-Committees and Working Groups
Poringland Parish Council operates with the following decision making structure.
HR Committee: Open to the public, but HR issues will usually exclude the public.
Responsible for staffing matters, reporting to Full Council.
Core membership: Ken Aldridge, David Hewer, John Joyce, John Henson, Chris Hamlin.
Finance and Governance Working Group: Non-decision making, not open to the public.
Responsible for drafting the Council's budget together with recommending appointment of routine contracts such as grounds maintenance; reviewing the Council's policies and governance arrangements; and reviewing banking and investment arrangements.
Membership: John Henson, John Joyce, David Hewer, Daniel Adam Garwood, Ken Aldridge
Amenities Working Group: Non-decision making, not open to the public.
Responsible for overseeing the Council's open space including play areas, and Rectory Lane Cemetery, as well as the external assets of the parish such as bus shelters and grit/dog bins.
Membership: Martin Hirst, Sean Curtis, John Overton, Carl Pitelen, Chris Hamlin.
Community Centre and Events Advisory Group: Non-decision making, not open to the public.
Responsible for the strategic management of the Community Centre.
Membership: Daniel Adam Garwood, John Overton, Sean Curtis, Carl Pitelin, Martin Hirst.

The Parish Council also makes appointments to various Trusts and other outside bodies. These do not necessarily have to be councillors, but are appointed to represent the interests of the Parish Council, as follows:
