From the Project Manager:
I have just met with our reinstatement manager following his meeting on site with the HA yesterday.
They have agreed that further reinstatement work is required on The Street, which unfortunately means that we are going to need to use traffic lights again.
This work will start on Wednesday 14th February and will be completed within two weeks.
We will have a reinstatement team on site as well as traffic management engineers between 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday. They may also work at the weekend, however; if they don’t, I have requested that all traffic management is removed to reduce the disruption to the community.
The team will begin with three way lights at the junction with Shotesham Road and continue along The Street until they reach Framingham Earl High School.
They will be working in sections of 150metres and hope to complete around 150metres of work per day, therefore, the lights will be moved throughout the day and will not impact on one location for very long.
I am so sorry for this further disruption but hope that you understand the importance of us ensuring that we reinstate the road to the highest possible standard, in agreement with the Highways Authority, before leaving site.
They are a very hard working team and will do everything possible to complete this final reinstatement work in the shortest timescale possible. I will update you on their progress next Friday.
