The Street in Poringland: ‘Budgens’ roundabout to Shotesham Road – the main pipe line has now been installed along this section of road and is currently going through the process of being tested, which will involve an amount of water being flushed through the pipe line. While we await for the results of the tests, the excavations will be left open. Once the pipe has passed the tests, we will then commence with transferring the residential or cross supplies along the road. This work will proceed out of the village working alternately on each side of the carriage way, under temporary traffic lights. As long as everything goes to plan this will be completed by the end of May.
Shotesham Road: This work has now been completed and all properties have been reconnected to the water main. The final few connections at the top of the road will be made once the new main is fully installed on The Street. Work to commence end of May.
Caistor Lane: To be completed in June 2017.
Arminghall Lane: Following investigation work that has taken place, the last section of old water main to be relayed and services transfers to be transferred, has started under a road closure. The Highways authority have allowed us to have early entry into the road under a shortened notice period and this was received last week. The road closed is for four weeks, but we are hoping to have the work completed before then.
Markshall Lane: First phase of this work has been completed. We are currently waiting to gain entry from the Highways Authority for working in the junction of Caistor Road & Stoke Road under four way lights.
